Fall Out Boy are back to Save Rock and Roll
It’s been an eventful day for teenagers of the noughties. Fall Out Boy have officially confirmed their return from the ‘indefinite hiatus’ they took following their last album release in 2008, bringing with them a shiny new single, news of a new album and a rather exciting festival announcement.
Coming only one week following a “finally true and 100% confirmed” report of the bands comeback, which was quickly dismissed by Joe Trohman via Twitter, the band have evidentially been working to keep this quiet as they immediately released My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up), today on iTunes.
My Songs… definitely doesn’t disappoint. It holds onto the traditional FOB sound we all knew and loved, whilst staying consistent with previous albums by maturing and growing to tackle a slightly new style, which we can look forward to hearing upon the release of their sixth album Save Rock and Roll on the 5th May this year.
And finally, they have jumped straight back in to live performances with a string of US tour dates, a UK show on February 25th at The Underworld in Camden, London and a headline slot at this summer’s Reading and Leeds festivals!
All in all, looks like the lads will have a pretty busy year ahead of them, but, let’s face it, they were never going to do this quietly.
